Wanted: Ignition Barrel

Hi all,
My '72 super was stolen about a month ago and they broke the ignition barrel and starter switch. Is anyone parting our a car that has one, I'd love to get this car back on the road.

Although fun, hot-wiring your own car everyday does get a bit annoying!

I'm located in Melbourne, Eastern suburbs.

hi
its probably best to replace it with a new one if they aren't too expensive...

from memory, You would only need the top keyed section of the switch.. the electrical part is seperate.. and the top locking piece sits on top of the electrical plastic switch..

If You can find a good top section with key that works perfect then go for it...

I'll check out a manual later on...
I have the water turned off and replacing a toilet cistern valve at present... lol

My 1968 electrical switch and keyed lock is all one piece, but they made them seperate later on... and I think Yours is the two piece...

cheers

They are cheap but the quality of them is appauling and they use the watercooled symmetrical key profile.

With an original bug one you can get the door locks keyed alike so one key for doors and ignition.
