Floorpan Reinforcement

Guys,

While I have the pan off, I thought I might reinforce the outer channels.

Seems most people use tube.

Is there any reason why you wouldnt use say 30x30x3mm angle iron and avoid tube crush issues ect?

Cheers

Newt

You could weld short crusher tubes in the the 30 SHS at each bolt or

might sound like overkill.................. but I used 30 x 30 solid squar bar tucked up in the chanell sides and back of the pan halves tied into the rear torsion tube to reinforce my 2.5lt suby baja. Best way I could see to get it over 1000kg thus legal 7" rims.
