Sounds like a physical problem. On many keyboards the Shift keys are on the same row as ZXCV.... Sounds like depressing the shift key is almost
depressing the whole row, then depressing a key in the ASDF... row is enough to generate a two key combo. Quite depressing....

Yes,
Sounds physical to me...
Keyboards are designed to be made as cheaply as possible..
looks like Yours is flexing too much..
I've had a few as I seem to wear the letters off.. Yes.. I do,
so now always buy good brands like dell HP Microsoft etc..
but on My laptop , the @ key comes up "
and vice versa.. lol
My Son fixes it easily but after a while it comes back
so its just a shortcut or ?? that He knows how to fix by pressing a couple of keys..
I didn't take note of what he did... lol

I thought my key board was stuffed cos when i hit Q, i got QW, when i got A, i got AS, and Z i got ZX (both letters). This was only 2 weeks ago.
I was expecting a new laptop, but next day miraculously, turn on the cmputer, and it worked !
I think the reset did sumfin :S. Could speculate that the consecutive days of rediculous high humidity may have played havoc on contacts in the
keyboard etc, i'm only speculating.
I hope its as simple of a cure as my previous situation.

it's definately a physical problem with the keyboard... you could try unplugging and re-pluging it or restarting the computer but i don't think
you'd get anywhere. maybe you've spilt comething on it? has the keyboard been dropped or gotten super hot?
like the others say, keyboards are made very cheaply these days. $20 will get you another one which will last ya a few years if your not a key smasher

It certainly was a dead keyboard. Yes it had something spilt on it.
I bought a new KB on ebay for $25 I think. (Its UK layout but no big deal) I havent even changed the settings, I know where everything is. Only issue
I have is the left shift key is small.
Last time it worked perfectly it was being used at the hillclimb for recording times. It started mucking up later that night. When I removed the old
KB there were dried up sticky traces of something under the right hand side. Yeah someone left me a surprise. If it had been the left hand side it
would have been fatal. There is nothing between the keyboard and motherboard on that side.
Thanks!
