Beetle drivers help????What this worth?

I have been looking at a 56 Oval, the only problem is that it has a late engine lid and hood lid...and this is the most devastating thing, the semaphores have been removed and bogged up...also late model running gear...Ive only ever owned Kombis, can beetle owners help out please :thumb

What is the rest of it like

Paint?
registered?
Interior?
Rust?
What do you mean by "late running gear"
Does that mean it has a 1600 ?? if not does it have original motor??
How badly is "the semaphores have been removed and bogged up"

rough paint and body, but has been registered, not long run out, 1600 motor, appears to be very little rust, would not be able to restore semaphores without a lot of work...interior not original, but is 12v

Even with all the modifications, no semaphores, it would still be worth that?

I'd say $1,500 at the most. Depends on what the body is like. If the main body is rust free maybe a little more. And if it's on the original pan maybe a little bit more again. Really rusty ones would cost a fortune to repair. And the hard (read exy) to get panels are missing too.

It is running, thats a good thing, however, it really lacks value because of the modifications, especially the semaphores...3k prob a bit too expensive
