reverse lights
Hi guys,
I, 've only just noticed that my 70.s bug/porrera has no reverse lights...
Is there a wire or something on the gear box or rear or the car that would have been cut when they put the kit on 30years ago?
Any help would be great,
just because its a kit car... doesnt mean its not a vw!

Australian bugs didn't have reverse lights until 72.
The gearbox nosecone should have a blank bung for the switch if you wanted to fit one though.

Legally no..you do not need reverse lights on your 70 beetle.Your car complies with the ADRs (Australian Design Rules) for that vehicle, for that
year. The only ADRs that it must comply with are the ADR numbers stamped on your build plate in the tyre well.
