Any GoPro experts?

Hi

I have a Hero2 with a wifi back.

If I plug the charge cable into the wifi back will this charge the camera as well?

I've tried plugging it into the wifi back but the camera charge light doesn't come on.

I don't have a skeleton case only a skeleton back otherwise I would plug directly into the camera.

Yup - as above have to charge em separately.

Watch out with the wifi backpac tho - when you charge it it puts the wifi on in listen mode, and have to turn it off (so screen goes blank) or it'll just drain again.

Hi

Thanks guys, it did say in the instructions for the wifi, if the wifi battery goes flat it will take power from the camera battery, I guess just not the other way.

So if I keep the camera battery charged I should be OK.

Steve

PS Edit I have a damaged regular housing, the son drove over with his drift car, the lens is scratched so I could remove the lens and make it a skeleton housing?

Lens is replaceable, but possible better off with a new housing... lots of people having probs getting them watertight again.

btw - make sure you have the Jan firmware update in the wifi bacpac - the dreaded "freeze" problem hit me over the weekend, and latest firmware seems to have fixed it.

Hi

I only wanted to buy a lense to use the old housing I have laying around, the replament lens is nearly as dear as a housing, I thought I could use it like a skeleton case for inside car use only.

Has anybody seen these Vector Mounts, unreal footage http://youtu.be/-xh4zfeHB6Y
