so, Im looking for a kombi

Having sold the old HQ a few weeks ago, I have been trying to decide what to buy to replace it. Defiantly want a touring car, something I can cruise back up to queensland in every few months. So new kombi time me thinks.

I have been cruising the internet looking for something decent for a while now and there is plenty of overinflated crap ($8000-$9000 is not ok for an unregistered van)and then of coarse the buses that are done well, but just out of my price range

I'm looking for a full micro bus, all 8 seats or maybe open to dualcabs. Low light would be nice but any year model really.

For registered vans, would have to be near enough to complete. Rust is not a big deal, that can be fixed. Subaru powered is good too. Something that will still be ok for a few years, but really needs some love and a good home
- up to $8000

Basket cases, once again micro or dual cab. Campers are ok this time (I have plans for that hole in the roof ) around aslong as they are not cut up panelvans. Missing engines and gearboxes are ok. half done Subaru conversions ok too
- up to $1000

So what do people have lying around?

I know they are sort of unfashionable but for $7k you would get yourself one hell of a vanagon transporter.
