Fixed the tilt forward mechanism on the passengers seat.

Went on a BBQ lunch trip with the PVCC here in Hobart to Margate which gave me the chance to see what the change in distributors may have made?

Cannot believe the difference that the correct SVDA distributor has made over the 009.

Now, if only I can sort out this damn suspension.

Fixed a leaky fuel accelerator diaphragm on my Solex 34 carby.

Rewired some "just waiting for a fire to happening electrical connections" in the engine bay.

Fitted new steering wheel.

Got a call from my bro in law to help change his accelerator cable as it had snapped. Sure, weather is good, I'll take the Ghia for a spin.

As I warmed up the Ghia in the garage pushed the accelerator one more time and..... Snap!

So yea I changed 2 accelerator cables today. What are the chances?

Last few days. Repaired a rear bar for the bus, painted it, assembled with towbar and fitted it. Bus is running ace with new rebuilt engine.

While watching the racing from Eastern Creek, just mucked around and fitted the replacement floor vent supplied by Old Dubber (thanks again mate).

Friday finished a custom battery install and gave the Beetle a tub, Saturday adjusted the front wheel bearings and today took it for a short fang around the block (or two)

On the 1302 S Bug. Fitted new handbrake cables, adjusted rear brakes, service, valve clearance adjustment, oil strainer clean, plugs, oil. Purrs now.

Carefully placed my new L bug gearbox under the open engine bay.
That would be the just rebuilt one that now also has a closer 3rd and a superdiff.
