[FS - SA] 1967 fastback for sale
I have a 1967 type 3 fastback up for sale, minimal work on interior and the original red vinyl seats, rear and front are in good condition requiring
no restoration. The engine needs a few minor parts to become operational ,,ie fuel pump and pehaps a new set of carbies, with this I believe the
engine will then be in running order. The body , although is relatively straight with no bits missing, does require a fair degree of rust repairs and
possible welding in regards to the rust repairs. The worst section is the right rear mudguard, these parts are interchangeable, however both sills
appear to need replacing. Once the rust repairs are complete the only other expense would to be to give the car a complete respray or just a tidy up
respray, or jusr leave as is (paint wise).. As i dont have pics you can imagine the car is a restoration project, and I would estimate the total cost
would be $3k to $4k, however after that you would find this example would be easily valued at $15k to $17k. The car is garaged under cover atm ( my
garage) and I believe it has been of the road for the last 10 years or so,.The best thing to do if you are interested would be to call me and arrange
an inspection. It is easy to google VW fastback (model 1965 to 1969) to get an idea of what the car looks like and what this car will be like when the
work is finished.....thanks Tony
