MARAUDER kit car project
HI,
I found this old Marauder in a paddock out west and could not resisit the shape and the years of challenge ahead.
She is a basket case but the body is complete (bar passenger door skin) and someone decided to make own chassis rather than the usual TYPE 3
chassis.
Anyone with one or info please feel free to share pics etc.
The old owner was in process of fitting a mid mounted Toyota V6, but I am looking at just saving the body and finding a good type 3 chassis as the ICV
rules are easier with a type 3 chassis over a custon built job like this one.
On a related note I am looking at using a Mitsubishi 6A12 V6 MIVEC engine as love the sound but has anyone ever done this to a VW type 3 box? any info
would be great.
thanks jas

Always interested in Marauders. I have the original mould so I can help you with the missing body parts down the track. Going back to the Type 3
chassis is a good idea, but good donor Type 3's are getting harder to find as well.

Mate, as I said in the engine conversions thread, you want to transverse mount that mitsu V6 with the mitsu trans too. Would make a great club car for
weekend racing.

yeah I think that is way to go with the V6
Anyone got any idea on what these suspension set ups are off? It is all 4 stud wheels with disc brakes all round and obviously the rear suspension set
up is incomplete but the front looks OK.
I pulled off a rear wheel and there was no cast numbers on disc etc.
