looking for other Double slider owners

Hi All,

I'm looking for all owners of Bay window, double sliding door panel vans. (216 Models)
I have a 73 and am really keen to see how many others are out there..

Is yours original or modified?
Is it registered and on the road or undergoing resto?

Looking forward to hearing from you, as there isn't too much information out there on the net on these and i'd like to learn more about this body style.

Thanks
Mike

Hey Nutter,

nah mate, but it will be going down 3 inches eventually.....
I just got a cab divider for it, and have ben busy sorting out some shonky electrical connections...
You know the type of job, expose the wire and just twist them together and slap on some tape....

Been on the end of the soldering iron this arvo, rectifying the issue, all under control now!

Only going down 3 inches?

I can get 4 out of it. You may need lower profile tyres though.

I suppose our bus is only about 2 inch down. I will have to drop it another 2.

Found one,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VW-Kombi-1973-/251606330230?pt=AU_Cars&hash=it...

A real shame someone has molested it though :td:

Even looks to be same blue colour as yours if you look realy hard under the dash.
