Lower Control Arm Bushings in Melbourne?

Im having my beam narrowed and we found the original lower trailing arms are worn and will be replacing them. Seeing we are tearing the beam apart, we may as well chage the bushings while we are at it.

Can someone tell me;
a) What are the bushings inside the beam called?
b) What material are they originally made from?
c) Where can i buy these in Melbourne?

Ok managed to find some info on these things, figured i'd share as it may help someone with the same question.

The original bushings inside the beam are called Micarta Bushings, the modern replacement being the Nolathane bushes. It is not possible to find any of these in Melbourne (apparently even Porsche has replaced the Micarta bushing with Nolathane for the 365). However you can still get them imported from the following website;

Yup, those micarta bushes are available thru CSP in Germany and a fair few of the UK vendors like VW Heritage, C&C, M7 etc. Also in USA, West Coast metric & Wolfsburg West

madness is in the eye of the beholder :yes:
