195/80R15 on late bug?


Hey,
Is anyone here running these size tyres on the rear of their bug? Any pictures for examples would be great!

Sounds a bit high profile to me. I think std is 165/75r15. Suggest you use an online tyre calculator from there if you want to keep your gearing right.

Your right it is high, but i'm after something that will fill the guard up at standard height.

To skip ahead they will be fitted to 6" widened stock rims.

I had them on the rear of My 68 beetle a few years ago..
My wheels are chromed 6 inch wide
never had any issues..

PS: different brands of tyre can be slightly different diameters too..
