running ej22 of ej18 computer
G.day all. I have started to do the harness for the ej22 I swapped for ej18 but only have the ej18 harness & computer can i use it as a complete
set up any help appreciated

it may run but I doubt it will run any good, probably causing damage long term.
the computer would likely be capable of running it but the calibrations would be for the ej18 and not the ej22 thus ignition, A/F and VE maps would be
fairly wrong for your engine.

Don't be so lazy Ernie and google it. Just did it myself and found multiple posts on the Subaru forums of people successfully running EJ22s with EJ18
ecus.

Agreed, it's no different to me running an EJ25 on EJ22 management, the computer will adjust fine, the only thing you should really do is fit an
aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to compensate for the extra fueling so it doesnt lean out under load
I run a Turbosmart on mine.

G'day all. Mackaymanx not being lazy I have googled but I find that the most reliable stuff comes from our own community sites. Thanks to others for
response. Maybe some 1 who has done their own wiring could put their info into a new forum or into this 1. I know you can get it done but if you have
the knowledge but just need something to follow the cash saved could be used for other work you cant do yourself. Or the blue tag etc.
