FS: KYB Mono tube shocks (not twin tube) SOLD
KYB Mono tube shocks (silver). Part # KG4521
Will suit all Type 3, early king pin beetles, rear swing axle beetles, Karmann Ghias, Bay window fronts I'm sure as well.
Used on my Fasty for 5000km and then been in shed for last 4 years.

so these have the rubber mounting eyelets top and bottom of the shox? Being silver are they the GR2 version?

KG4521 is a gasajust number, i have them on all my cars, a good shock. front link pin.

Yes rubber eye mounts top and bottom but I honestly don't know what GR2 is.

No worries dude, VW060 answered what version of KYB they are. The Gas-adjusts are still good shocks just not as stiff as the KYB GR2 version.

The gasajusts are there top shock for beetles, they are a high pressure shock were as the gr2 is a low pressure shock, they are stiffer that a gr2 but
i find them a lot better in the handling stakes, i find the gr2 under damped and not suited to my set up.

oh, When I read the KYB bumpff the GR2 sounded the stiffer. Cheers for teh correction

Cool. Looks like I'll have em dude if ya can just wrap em in cardboard and measure n weigh em for me.
I estimated the weight at 5kg and length at 40cm, 15cm and 10cm. Got a quote of $14 door to door
If I know the exact weight and dimensions then I'll know the total cost but shouldn't be much more.
