Beetle Interior Kits

Hey vee dubbing community I've been on the scene for 7 odd years now. First as a kombi owner, now I have two project beetles im working on.
About a year ago I sought a new interior for my 66 bug and now i represent the german manufacturing company Meisterberg here in Australia.
We provide full interior re-trim kits for bugs, busses, type 3's, and karmanns. Check out my new website for our great products

we can do a pink vinyl but it isnt as strong/durable as the rest of vinyls we use.

A custom interior has a slightly higher price tag of $685 shipped.
Custom interiors can take up too 8 weeks to arrive as there is a waiting time for the build.

this is the current selection we offer:

VW Type 3:
Fronts Seat Upholstery, All Type Yr.1970-1972
Rear Only Seat Upholstery Squareback Yr.1968-1974
Front Door Panel All models Yr.1961-1974
Rear Quarter Panel Squareback Yr.1968-1974
Rear Well Panels Squareback Yr.1961-1974

i have sent an email off to germany to ask for an expansion of the type 3 product, and i will start looking for a notchback and fastback interiors to reverse engineer and send to them if they agree.

Im still working out the exact cost for a complete interior for a Type 3 but it will be in the vicinity of a custom interior for a bug so aprox $685 for a complete kit shipped

this has been fitted straight out of the box so it still has the fold lines on it.

we use the old mounting points and has a string to tension it similar to the originals that used wire.

U've just convinced me to do my interior next on my 1960 beetle. Any chance i could swing past to have a look at the material (i'm in melbourne also).

One more thing, im planning to install Porsche 356 seats up front, is the fabric for the vw and the 356 the same, and can i mix and match (lets say front 356 seats, door cards/rear seat vw?).

Are the side panels cut out for winder and door pull? I see the card appears to be, but not the material cover?
Are these the kits manufactured in Germany?

Hey Bus and Bug,

The interior patterns are reverse engineered in Germany from original seats and trims, the patterns are then sent to Vietnam where they are Tailor made.

Vietnam is ideal manufacturing base, with a rich history in tailoring dating back hundreds of years and to this day is an icon in Asia for its Low Cost, High Quality Tailor made Products.

So in short, German Engineering and Quality Control, Vietnamese Tailor made.

hey Nickster,

the masonite cards do come pre cut, the vinyl does not as you observed, this helps protect the product in shipping.
As a result, if you plan to fit them yourself you will need to make a cut in the vinyl to fit the handles.
I plan to make an instructional video in the coming weeks to showcase the product and help DIYers if you choose to fit the covers and cards yourself.
this DIY video will be on the website for anyone to watch.
