Thanks Justin. Thought it was them.

hey Bug and Bus,

Meisterberg is not at all affiliated with Harrington Group,
Meisterberg GmbH who i am the australian reseller for, has set up there own manufacturing base in Vietnam for the reasons i outlined earlier.

Meisterberg offer a different product range to Harrington, use different materials and different stitching methods.

no comparison can be drawn between the two companies.

here are a few email extracts i have recieved form Chris the founder of Meisterberg GmbH illistrating there passion for quality.

"My name is Chris and I set up the company a few years ago. At that time I was doing a restoration on my Porsche 356 and was shocked by the high prices upholsters offered for interiors. I also have lots of friends who are true Beetle enthusiasts. Even though there are some companies out there who sell relative economically priced VW interiors such as TMI - but I was not really impressed by their quality. So I was doing some research and teamed up with a professional upholstery who is doing hand made interiors, custom made for a decent price and decided at that time to set up the company. This was back in 2007. Since then we were able to supply thousands of interiors to other classic car enthusiasts for a very decent price. We are a small company and most important to us is not to maximize our profits but do supply our fellow classic car enthusiasts with good quality interiors.

In regards to originality of our interiors -we use original seat covers as templates so the cut is exactly the same as in the original VW interiors. The material however is slightly different. So if you want to restore your beetle to the 100% original look our interiors are not the first choice but for customization they certainly are."

"I can assure you that we are not a reseller of Harrington Group interiors and we manufacture or own interiors. Harrington's core business is that of bumpers for classic cars. The interiors are just a complementary item forthem.

Meisterberg interiors are our core competence and you have seen our interiors and the level of quality they are produced of.

I hope this answers your question. Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us."

Thanks for the opportunity to clear this up, im sure my customers will be happy to know the history of Meisterberg and learn a little about their Product and its History.

I fitted a kit for nick long (Nickster) on here... They fit quite well and I was very happy with the quality for the price. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get in contact with justin at Meisterberg since before Christmas... Pretty sure he's given up selling them. If anyone does get onto him please get him to contact me... Just tell him to call mick in brisbane, he'll know.

Well I called. Left messages, sent texts, emailed all over about 3 months then gave up and ordered tmi for my customer... It's a shame really, it was a really good product for the price.

yep using a mail forwarding company and purchasing through there website it is possible however you will find it more costly. i would go through volkstrim hes a local melbourne guy who started his own trimming company. hes great im going to use him when i start my resto on my 9 seater 72 low light.

Tried the link and it doesn't appear to be working. It goes to a web design page. Any news on the rubber flooring for RHD beetles?

I've been searching for years. Nothing out there.

Only solution seems to get carpet which is available from budget to expensive. Looks a lot better and I believe WAS an option for overseas models, but not in Aus.

Maybe only Aus had the rubber flooring , thought there would have been plenty for righthand in England but maybe they only had carpet option being cooler climate.
