thanks guys ..... I have not run the dragster on the 1/8 mile yet , only on the quarter . Warren the previous owner ran it on the 1/8 mile quite a few times & he sent his timeslips over with the car & he ran consistant 6.1's@113mph ......I am hoping the work that I have done on the dragster has made some sort of improvement on this & maybe run close to 5.85@120mph , see how we go but really looking forward to Warwick :tu::tu:

the Dragster engine is fired-up and all sounds really good ..... very happy with results so far .
I also purchase a few MSD chips from 4000rpm thru to 6800rpm ..... the lower rev range chips will very very handy for testing circuits and boost control at the shop without revving the engine too hard . After set-up is complete the higher range chips can be installed

yesterday we did final preparation on the WPVW Dragster for the Warwick VW Drags ..... set-up & adjusted the 2-step launch control & all appears to be great ..... we are seeing 12psi boost on launch @ 5600rpm & we can adjust it up or down from there . It is now packed in the trailer for the trip north of the border .....

I have decided to fabricate a new bar to hold down the air intake scoop with cut-outs to supply better air flow across the discharge venturis .
I also fabricated a mesh screen to cover the carburettor intake to avoid damage to the new turbo due to foreign material entering the intake.
This morning I washed the parachute & it easily dried today in the heat of the day.....

I had 6 runs in the Dragster @ Warwick this year ..... 3 in practice on Saturday after checking that all of our other team cars were running well , 1 practice run on Sunday morning & 2 runs in racing on Sunday .

1st run Saturday.... 7psi boost test (12psi staging limiter)
R/T 0.687

ET 7.153 @ 101.51mph
Tyres 10psi

2nd run Saturday.... 16psi boost test (8psi staging limiter) stalled on the launch
R/T 0.556
