Rubber seals

Hi, I'm going to spray my Squareback soon and wondered if there a supplier of rubber seals in Australia or should I buy from OS? I will need door seals, bonnet & hatch.

Cheers, I'll check it out. Another issue I have is after a recent service my car is leaking oil badly. The mechanic says I have a cracked case. It seems to have been like this for a while but was sealed up with something that has now given way. Any advice other than a whole new case?

depends where the crack is

a rightangle piece that fits under the bolt?s near the cracked section with rolls royce gasket goo or similar on in the cleaned crack and then under the angle can do wonders.

Depends too if the car is a daily for 50 kms or 5 kms!! or club plated!

ps I do have 2 very good rubbers for the doors I won't need ..so cheap! and a few more ....
cheers B

want any vw bits old but like me, Made in Germany!!!

Hi
there is lots of stuff out there that could be used..
it may need replacing every few years...
depending of course where the crack is...

SILASTIC is great for fixing cracks or leaks... and flexible..
it has to be SILASTIC by DOW CORNING...

it all depends on how clean the crack is to the success..
foaming degreaser spray can and hosing off and then cleaning with Metholated spirits etc... which will evaporate quickly..

even two part EPOXY cement will last until the oil gets past it.. but that may take a long time...??

both products are cheap and readily available ....

cheers
