EOI Thinking of selling 76 model beetle (Not Super or L Bug) In need of resto

I recently got my hands on a June built 1976 model Beetle
mostly complete (90 to 95%).
I am now thinking of selling it on.

Body restoration has been started with only minor stuff to finish off, there is a small patch on the inner of one of the B pillers left to be done, the outer surface of the bonnet is at bare metal stage, requiring finishing (ONLY SURFACE RUST) and the floor pans still need replacing. (floors are completely gone). The rest of it looks to be in good straight condition

I had intended to complete the restoration and then decide what to do with it but I really don't have the time or cash to finish it
I took it as trade on my quad bike but what I really need is a good engine for my trike, not a project!!!

I am still yet to pick up one front guard, the doors and glass from a panel shop in north Brisbane, where the hanging panels have been done. along with other smaller parts like tail lights, wipers etc

It is still fitted with the factory 1600 twin port (with twin manifold heat risers etc, the engine number is correct for 76 model, I have not started the engine)
I believe these models were also fitted with an overdrive 4th gear , the speedo says just over 50k which I was lead to believe to be original (supposed to be a one owner from the Gold Coast)

The flat factory dash pad is in pretty good shape with only a couple of minor cracks etc etc etc.

Seats are in pretty good shape but the rest of the interior needs re doing.

Anyway enough with the back story, the short of it is, that I am looking for expressions of interest only at this stage until the whole car is together in one spot, then it will be for sale,
$2400 ono

I'm looking to sell so I can get the bits together to build a decent engine for my trike
or direct Swap for quality engine or engine parts.
Heads, Piston and barrel kit, crank rods etc (I have a good case)

I will take a few picks of the body and the parts I already have in my possession on the weekend and post them so the condition of the body, seats etc can be seen.

It will be 3 or 4 weeks before I get to pick up the remaining parts so nothing can happen before then.

Car is located in Stanthorpe SE Qld (near Warwick)
Pm or call 0437239658 for questions
