2 late 70's golfs
What sort of money would a late 70's gti golf and original cabriolet be worth?
Both complete cars not registered.
Cheers

The answer to this question depends on the condition of the cars. Since you describe them as 'complete', I'm assuming they're a bit rough and/or
neglected.
The cabrio would be worth very little.
Mk1 GTI should be worth a bit of coin, maybe $3-5 grand depending on condition?

Sorry for the lack if description, they are not my cars. Common sense would tell me the gti is more desirable.
Thanks

The first RHD GTIs were 1979 models and very rare.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

And weren't ever sold new in Australia, so will be a private (UK?) import.
Or it could be an Aussie LS or later imported GLS, with GTI bits added on to tart it up.
Golf 1 Cabrios were only sold in Australia 1990-94 - they were the ones with the 'body kits' added as standard. Earlier ones without the body kit
will also be a private import.
