(FS-NSW) 1970 Beetle Reg: VW2300(SOLD)

Hi All,

Thanks for looking at the add.

Time has come for me to part with the bug, not that I want to part with it. (family commitments and lack of time to use it, if not sold, I'll just have to use it more to justify owning it)

Over the last 2+ years I have owned the bug it has undergone an engine rebuild among other items that needed sorting out (no expense spared if it needing doing I have had it done as I take my 3 year old in the car and only want to drive the car if its safe to do so with him in it)- recently I have just had the gearbox changed over, while at the mechanics it has been serviced and had a front brake calliper change (29/7/13).

The engine was rebuilt in June 2011 and has done roughly 4500km since then (changed the Mph speedo for a Kph one)

Since I have had it, I have only had CBB do the work on the car.

CBB rebuilt the engine, while rebuilding it I had a sidewinder exhaust fitted, bolt on rocker covers + a lot more (it already had the deep sump so I kept that)

If you would like the engine specs let me know.

As you can see on the Dyno sheet it has 150hp at the wheels.

IRS

The Interior is great, the Front seats are Recaro buckets, it has a smooth dash - no Glove box and all the switches have been moved under the dash - only the gauges and tacho are on show, the door cards are aluminium, one piece windows, front window demister, and radio with amp, under the bonnet it has fitted aluminium panels to cover the fuel tank and wiring.

Great car to drive and gets lots of looks.

No rust - the car has been sealed previously by the owner that restored it, the only blemish in the paint in on the rear apron due to the old exhaust heating it up, it has cracked the paint.

Wheels are Porsche Teledials 15inch - tyres have done around 2500km

Panels - as you can see it has early 1960's front & rear guards, hood and decklid - this gives the car the appearance that its and early 60's beetle.

Also the bumpers are early ones that have been turned upside down to give it a lower look.

Im sure I have left some things out.

The car is a show car with the performance to match the looks

Please feel free to ask any questions.
p.s. I had had the car lifted slighted since the photos

Price $17,500.00 firm (insured for $22k)

Thanks for the comments guys

Forgot to mention its currently running MSD ignition

And it's engineered for all the modifications including the engine - insurance knows about the mods as well!

Hi All,

Just a warning for anyone selling cars at the moment!

I was contacted by a someone from my add on car sales saying that they are currently overseas and would like to buy the car for their son, and said they would pay me via paypal or direct deposit into my account, I asked a few questions back and got no response on my questions, apart from a thank you for some other information I provided on the cars history.
I googled scams and it seems like this has been around for a while on different forms, this time they never asked me to pay money etc, but seems like they pay more and then say they made a mistake by paying to much and before they will allow the transaction to go through they ask you to pay the difference between the agreed price and what they sent, they even go to the effort of doing a screen shot showing the transaction to fool you.

Just a word of warning!!
