bumper bars


hi everyone are late ghia square bumper bars the same profile as late type 3 bumper bars to me they look the same but not 100% thanks rob

same but small difference.

the KG has the lower corner trimmed at a 45ยบ angle to clear the front fender, the type 3 bumper is not trimmed. using a type 3 bumper on KG may hit the fenders, KG on type 3 is fine.

type 3 have a pocket in the fender for clearance so they don't need have the trimmed type bumper.

I never had that problem of hitting the guards.

maybe I had my brackets out at full extention?

I am not sure if they are exact but they look the same to me. And Vlad, mine do not have any angle on the lower edge to clear the guards.

yeah they are exactly the same bumper just one is trimmed and one not.

I know a few people on the samba had problem hitting the body when using on KG, some not. I had one of these KG bumpers at home and did a little research on them at the time.

The current SS KG aftermarket bumpers are angled like mentioned.
