Is yours broken?
Have you replaced the bushing in the gear box housing to make sure it is not just getting stuck?

mine isn't broken , i bought a bug that didn;t have one , the only ones i have are all 6 volt

if your bug is pre 68 then it will work with a 6volt evenif a 12 vlt conversion..I have a 6vlt one and will post if you are quick
