Stock as a rock 1967 1300 Custom

Picked up this yesterday as my new weekend cruiser, dead stock 1967 1300 custom. It wasn't even optioned with seat belts, although a previous owner has fitted them to the front.
Original interior including headliner if prefect condition, 3/4 paint original. 99.99% rust free!

It's been registered and maintained it's whole life so apart from some very minor repairs its a case of get in and drive!

Here's a few pics, I'll post some better one's after it's had a wash and polish.

I reckon this one might be a keeper

After a polish.... Probably doesnt look much different in the pic, it came up nicely though.

Just some minor maintenance to do over the next few weeks and she's all done. Might also see about repadding the seats, I'll try and save the orginal covers through. Some new carpets might be in order as well but the stock rubber floor mats are staying.

If anyone has a beetle hinge mount mirror or some of the thick running board trim strips in good condition let me know.

Yeah, they had to have the anchorage points but not actually have the belts fitted I'm told. The rear seat still has the little plastic plugs in the threads but no belts.
I'm not really an expert on stock stuff but I didn't think standards came with a glovebox lid, stainless bumpers or side trim?
Chassis number is 197760615 if there are any experts reading this.

Not according to the article on clubvw's website...

"The Standard is renamed the ‘Custom’, and is upgraded to the same 1300cc engine, with improved fittings such as chrome hubcaps and stainless steel blade bumpers (without the towel-rails), and improved (but still basic) trim."

Anyway, it's a custom. They're both poverty packs but the 67 was a bit less povo than the previous standard. I think stainless blade bumpers were a "feature" only on this year model. The deluxe's got chrome towel rails. My magnet agrees they're stainless.

Yep you have text book time warp 67 custom
although hard to tell, are the smokers windows frames still painted grey?
customs had grey glass frame but chrome upright piece for some wierd reason.

As noted 67 was only year of staino bumpers.
The 64-65 standards had no glovebox lid but the trim was all still painted grey, but after 50 years most have had them swapped for chrome parts.
the trim was never chrome on the early standards.
