Steering Wheel Boss

A Nerbie steering wheel question. How do you fit this steering wheel ( http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nardi-Torino-Steering-Wheel-Deep-Corn-Wood-Grain-P...) onto a 59 Beetle? I've been onto the Slide Industries web sight and there is no mention of Boss Kits. I have also email the question and had no response.

normally you buy the boss which fits your spline on your steering shaft then bolt your wheel to it.
from memory theres 3 different ones.

I have a flat 4 boss for a 59 beetle but not sure it would fit steering without a little modifing.

Like this.

Missing the badge but they are easy to get in different styles.

Nardi may not make a boss to fit early VWs...
so You need one that will bolt to Your nardi steering Wheel..
You need to make sure it will fit the nardi wheel bolt pattern
and its long enough so You don't hit the blinker arm every time You turn..
I have seen narrow bosses that must have been made for deeply dished steering wheels..

cheers

Thanks guys. To make sure that I am buying the correct Kit from ISP I simply count the number of splines on my shaft, either 24 or 40?

that is the correct boss for early cars to 1959 bug & ghia... and 356... the only other thing to note it uses a momo / grant / gt style horn button... the factory nardi type of horn button does not work with out boss kit
