I need a tune up!
Hi all,
I have a 1965 beetle with a 1300 in it with a 34pict carby.
Im hoping to have it on the road by early January for an upcoming show.
Firstly it doesn't run very smoothly. It starts well but when it warms up and when I pull the throttle the stepped fast idle cam drops all the way
back then it just cuts out. I attempted to adjust the idle speed by the procedure online but it didnt seem to change much.
I have also had problems with the clutch. It seems to be stuck and not working. It has sat for a fair while.
Im looking to get it on the road and I would appreciate a List of things to check before blue slip.
Cheers adam

A 34pict is for a 1600.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!
