64 Ragtop project. More Pics added

Hi Fellow Dubbers.

Here is my 64 ragtop recently bought on this forum from a very nice and helpfull guy! Thanks Ben!

My aim is to get it on the road with minimal time and hoping to have it roadworthy by Xmas.

Here are a few shots so far.

The car was in need of a few bits of body work and paint but mechanically it is sweet as a nut and purs like a kitten.

Cheers
Paul

Yeh thanks Dave, its not too bad, had worse to deal with. most of the welding in the body was done by previous owner and the whole car was in pieces, BTW im looking for the 2 small sunroof tracks that are at the back of the track that you remove to take the sunroof out they were missing when i got the car, do you know of any ?

Here are a couple of shot od the pan, i have installed Airkewled brakes and a 3" beam.

Cheers
Paul

As Dave said, you aren't mucking around

Are you fitting Airkewled brakes on the rear. Is it also possible to see a photo of the front brake caliper bracket, as I want to see if I can fit those calipers onto my current brackets thanks.

Keep the photos coming, Kev :tu:

Hi Paul,

thanks for those photos, only just saw them now sorry. Is there good pad to surface area contact with these. The reason I ask, is my set up (Empi style) the pad only contacts about 3/4 of the possible surface area and loses out on possible better braking :-(

Thanks, Kev

Hey Kev,

There is 3 set ups that Airkewled sell, the stage 1 (which is what i have) is for your stock or mild mods, which has a single piston, then theres the twin and 4 piston set ups. Check their website for more info.

Id say that it the kit i have doesnt cover the whole disc as the discs are quite big. The beauty of these kits are that you can unbolt the caliper braket and swap it over if you ever want to upgrade to the twin or 4 pots. the disc also seperated from the mounting face if you ever want to change stud pattern.
