Why waste your money on imitation carbon-fibre, when you can waste your money on real carbon fibre.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Some of the Commodore interior trim is done using this process, for example the little accent strips across the dash on the VE Calais. It is pretty
cool stuff.

Been around for years... I contacted a crowd that were doing it 6 or 7 years ago about doing my timing belt covers in carbon fibre look to match the
decklid. It was $300-$400 back then.

Is there any advantage of this over vinyl wrapping?

Try vinyl wrapping a wheel like the one shown in the web page, I had a dash panel done, then it was clear coated, looks great.

Must be more to it though. The stuff doesn't coat the gloves or the hands most of the time.

it is as permeant as any paint that has a clear coat over it...
its good stuff but there isnt the base for it here in Australia so the stuff we get is quite limited!!
in Europe where it has been developed you can get anything you wish done but here they only have certain patterns and dont seem interested in doing
anything about it!
i have had stuff done over in Europe and it was great, i am building a turbo'd gsxr at the moment and i contacted the brisbane company about doing my
tank, tail and front guard but they wanted nothing to do with it, so i went to the main importer in melbourne and the reply i got was
to do what you want would require us setting up the machines for a single run which isn't time and cost affective so just chose one of our pattens
and use that!!!
they advertise being able to do full custom yet they don't want the hassle of doing it...i told them that i knew it would be expensive for what i
wanted and was willing to pay but they didn't want anything to do with it...
yes great system and works really well but at this present time the back up and service is shit!
if your just chasing a pattern they already have then its awesome stuff, my advice is to use the melbourne based company tho as the stuff that i have
seen come out of brissy is a little bit hit or miss on its quality..
