WTB - L Bug fine spline steering column

Apparently they are 18mm diameter for the wheel? Mine is 9/73 and is 24mm, so I think '74-up Super steering column.

Complete steering column or just the shaft alone.
Please PM.
Thanks.

Hi

Rack cars have a longer shaft to accommodate the extra distance to the rack, same spline though.

Oooh, didn't know that Steve, thank you.

I've had a PM from someone who has the lot with R&P, so hopefully it can all be sorted. :tu:

Hi

I didn't know about it either, Joel found out about it in one of his searches, I have a rack in my 73 model and Joel is fitting one to his 74 so luckily we were able to source the correct ones.

I think bugs will be in a museum in an era when petrol no longer exists by the time I finally get around to fitting it

THe tapered spline is 74 and later bug and is common to watercooled VWs, Audis and Porsches as well
