[FS - NSW] 1966 Beetle, Oct Rego, $5000
Hi All,
Never thought that this day would come - but it's time to let Cosmo go .
I've had a blast over the last 5 years - but finances and circumstances mean that it is time he moves on to greener pastures where he will be driven
more and appreciated.
Here is the build thread with the details
http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=78635
Since then, I've put on a set of Empi BRMs with Pirrelli rubber (late 2012) which have seen roughly 2000kms since purchase and a lot of time in a
garage. (Living 2 mins walk from work does have its disadvantages)
The engine has probably only done about 7000kms since install in 2011, so it's still punching along nicely.
Rego until the 23rd of October.
Cosmo is located in Narara 2250 (Next to Gosford on the Central Coast).
$5000
I might consider a swap for a 4 door, smallish, newish(2000 on), manual with an airbag or two with a bit of rego.
PM me for more details etc.
Cheers
Paul

Ps - it is still green inside.
Car also comes with all my spares including the original wide 5 steel rims, repro stainless hubcaps (As seen in wedding photo), an 1800 t4 block
(missing heads, but all internals), a honda prelude drivers seat welded to seat rails, rear drum assemblies and whatever else I can lay my hands
on.
Baby not included, but available at extra cost

Thanks for the offer - but I'm just interested in selling everything at once.
For the record - the wide 5 rims are original stock steel rims and the empi BRMs are shod with 195/65 r15s on front and 205/65 r15s on the back. I
think they were 5 inch rims - but I can check the receipt and confirm that if needed.

Just gave it a wash and thought of some things that I don't think I have mentioned, but in the interest of full disclosure - here they are.
Forgot to mention that there is no roof lining - One of those things on the to do list that never got crossed off.
I have the original style steering wheel there too - but I prefer the feel of the smaller ratty one that is on there now.
The stereo is a media player that has radio and will read mp3s off a SD card and an aux in, but doesn't play CDs.
It has some scratches here and there and the bonnet isn't dead straight on the passenger side due to previous repairs.
These things may not bother most people - but to others they may be an instant turn off, so I mention them now to give as accurate a description as I
can.

silver stuff on the floor is a product called flash tac - its like dynamat and has held on tight since I put it in there 3/4 years ago.
The floor along the heater chanels is still in great condition. Before I put the KBS stuff on, I had it all welded up at East Koast Kombis. Even so,
it had bugger all to begin with.
Cheers

Its mainly dirt in the nose - a bit of surface rust. Its had a few bumps down there - but it is all solid.
