Speedo issues in my Fasty

Speedo getting stuck

Hi all, my speedo is getting stuck at various places randomly on the dial. Suburb cruising 40 sometimes 60km/h. Freeway at about 80 no higher. It was working perfectly despite the car being driven lately maybe once a month over the last 6 months (don't think that should effect it).

It happened after I replaced dash with a new one, took all gauges out and then replaced after. Cable is all good and fine at hub end. Cable runs via speed sensor as I'm running a Suby engine. Can't think what I've done wrong. Took gauge out and turned over with a battery drill with and without speed sensor, still getting stuck.

Any ideas?

I love 242HP sleepers.

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

I also run cable to electronic speed sensor and had my needle jumping around a bit. For me, it was just the case that I had to much bend in my cable as I was trying to hide it. Gave it the simpler path and it sits rock solid now at correct speed.

Just my experience and 2c, Kev
