[WTB - NSW] Lowlight Bus
Hi All,
I've been lurking around the internet for about 6 weeks now looking for a lowlight in fair condition but keep missing out. I'm looking for a 71
ideally with minimal body work needed. I'm not afraid of mechanical work or minor rust. Just don't have the time or money for the bad stuff.
If you've got one for sale or thinking of selling your lowlight please PM me. My budgets up to 10k and the money's sitting there waiting to be spent
or I've got a T4 Caravelle if you wanna do a swap with cash either way let me know what you've got.
Cheers,
Patrick

Hi Donn,
Do you have a Lowlight you're looking at selling?
T4's a Windsor Blue 1998 model long nose Caravelle GLS 2.5 Petrol Auto with 242,000kms on it. If you're looking for a T4 I'm sure someone will have
told you to stay away from the Auto but if anything goes wrong with it there's that many getting wrecked that you'll easily find a manual
replacement and pedal box on the cheap or another auto. In saying that currently all is good with the gearbox and I changed the gearbox oil with
genuine and a new filter when I bought the car around 12,000kms ago. I also replaced the air, fuel and oil filters, spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor,
all three engine mounts and full exhaust with a stainless system including the cat. Currently has a magnaflow cat and rear muffler and Dynomax VT
centre muffler as the old exhaust was well and truly rusted out. I also fitted a 150A alternator and a set of A7 19s with 100 load rating tyres.
Currently the interior is stripped and I've bolted some T5 Highline Multivan rails with a leather 3 seater bench that folds flat, is easily removed
and can be folded to make into a bed. I've still got the original seats and wheels available aswell. I'm sure there's some other stuff I've
forgotten too. The longer it takes me to find a lowlight the more stuff I'll do to the Caravelle to make it into a nice camper but will end up
selling it following.
Currently its parked at work and pretty dirty but I'll try and give her a wash on the weekend and get some pics up.
Basically I used to have a 74 Kombi that I spent way too much time on then sold off to buy a reliable family car with AC and the like as I've now got
2 kids. Problem I've got now is work gave me a nice new Audi to drive so I can have a cool old car again without it having to be the daily drive /
family beater.
Cheers,
Patrick.

Looks like a nice bus, ball park $ ? Though I am a bit put off by the auto, only a bit, as I really prefer manual in any vehicle ( I'm driving an
auto now and really am itching to get back to a manual)

I'd like to get at least $8500 for my van. Currently its registered till December and I've got 8m2 of 19mm Boral hardwood that I'll throw in with
it to make a floor. Next free weekend I get that'll get cut to shape and go in. Alternatively I've got the original carpet that you could cut slots
in to go over the rails. Also I forgot to metion above I've fitted new quality German made blinds to all the rear windows and a cabin divider
curtain.
If you're interested in talking further PM me your number and I'll give you a call.
Cheers,
Patrick.

Hi All,
I've found myself a nice clean 76 Baywindow and will be picking her up tonight. Thanks to those that helped me in the search. If anyone wants to buy
a T4 let me know otherwise she'll be on carsales soon.
Cheers,
Patrick.
