Hayman Reese does not stock new tow bars for VW Transporters earlier than T4, so no luck there.

Just Kampers do list a towbar kit for the T3 (or the T25 as the Brits stupidly call it), but it is currently out of stock. Give them a call and they may be able to order one - 02 9645 7660

http://www.justkampers.com.au/towbar-for-vw-t25-steel-bumper-models-1979-1992...

Otherwise you'll have to check with the VW parts suppliers for a second-hand one eg Vintage Veedub Supplies (02) 9789 1777

Hayman Reese are not worth using.

The only good Australian made towbar is from Melbourne Towbars. Part #VW6 but they are NLA. Look for a s/h one.

The genuine VW Germany towbars can be sourced s/h from a few suppliers in Europe.

I doubt if the JK ones are legal in Australia.

T25 is the VW factory terminology before 1990.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Don't they just bolt to the four bumper bracket mounting holes?

I've heard this a number of times on this forum, can't figure out why, I've lost count of vehicles I've had with HR towbars and I've never had a problem. What's the go?

Some HR are great design (Beetle, T2 Kombi)
and others are crap (T3, Golf 1)
