[WITHDRAWN] '62 split 90% rebuilt $47kono

So sorry to mess anyone around but I've been bombarded with calls today telling me I must be mad to not at least finish it before even considering selling. So I'm withdrawing it from sale for now and will finish it off, then see how I feel.

Again my apologies for the inconvenience.

As much as I love it, and I've owned the bus for many years, it's time for a change.

Currently at Luke Pell's in Bowraville getting the rest of the bits assembled. It's had a two year rebuild, all rust removed and repainted by Brian at Cross Rods. The colour is satin white over satin cream yellow mix. Looks awesome in the sun.

All new bits, chrome safaris, chrome side pop outs, new deluxe trim, repainted white bumpers, new wiring harness, new VW badge, headlights and indicators. 17" Airkewld Smoothie rims powder coated black with chrome trims, 1600cc motor, rebuilt tougher gearbox by Dave Butler, larger t3 drums wide 5 pattern, 4" narrowed beam by Munster Garage in Perth. drop spindles, adjusters, straight axle rear end. Has a bug-tech shifter but will be keeping that and installing a gene berg quick shift for the buyer.

Left to complete is the interior. I thought I'd sell it before it got to that part so the new owner can chose to fit it out as they want, camper, middle seats, etc etc. The front bench seat was retrimmed three years ago but went mouldy while the body was being panelled so I'll cut off the outer material and leave the foam ready to retrim. The bench seat had new springs and was repaired and resprayed in WA.

$47k ono.

If you are near the mid north coast and want to go take a look I can arrange it with Luke. Otherwise feel free to hit me with any queries. I'm in Perth so may be slightly delayed replies.

You can see all the rebuild photos here:

I'm not leaving the VW scene, just buying a cheap bay window, and a house..... so need the funds.

Oh and it's still registered in WA so pits should be easy...
