Brake set up help!
Howdy all, little help if I could!
I've got a '69 beetle with 2" narrowed beam, and want to put on some BBS RS' running a 5x114.3 PCD set up. Now I know they'll fit under the
guards fine, I just wanted to check what brake components I would be able to use!
Would something such as this be everything I need?
https://www.classicveedub.com.au/cvd_new/part_detail.aspx?parts_id=15107
As in just a blank rotor set up? And drill the new PCD myself or am I another level of special? I'm rubbish with brake stuff!
Cheers,
Ollie

Hi
You just need blank rotors, then get a machine shop to drill & fit studs to them, unless you can buy some already done. You will need to make sure
the centre bore on the wheels is correct for your rotors, if not its not hard to machine it to suit
You could run them with your existing callipers etc.
Steve
PS those wheels will look sick

Buy GENUINE rotors
as they will be thicker in the section where you need to have drilled for the new stud pattern

Those discs only have webbing in 4 places so they won't be any good for your 5 bolt wheels.
You need to get a blank rotor with that webbing thickness across the whole disc mounting face. Then you'll be OK.

So VW54 where do you buy these genuine rotors from?
