New server time!
This server has started playing up a lot. So it's time to take advantage of improved pricing and get ourselves a nice shiny box.
Old server:
16 CPUs
1.5 GB RAM
3000 GB bandwidth coming out of Denver
80 GB SAN disk (this is the slow bit)
New server
?? CPUs
3 GB RAM
3000 GB bandwidth coming out of Brisbane
35 GB SAS SSD (this should be a rip snorter)
When it's all transferred over, I'll let you folks know. Hopefully, the new server will be more reliable than this one.

The speed 3 of GB/s for writes and 12 GB/s reads is more than sufficient for us.
I will be transferring things over sooner than later as I experience 504 Gateway timeouts all the time, so I can only imagine you lot do as well.

(Our entire database is 6.1 GB in size, so the new server can read every single thread, post, PM and attachment - all of the forum... twice in one
second).

yeah this forum its regularly timing out or just loads forever (literally) until I refresh it.
I have the timeouts at least couple times a day for the last few years and I have fast internet. You loose your posts a lot of the time as they
happen to timeout on submission just to piss you off
