[FS - VIC] 1968 Type 3 Fastback

For sale 1968 Type 3 fastback.

Car located in Nunawading Melbourne

I built this car to be my daily driver. A change in job with company car means i no longer need the car.

The car drives and stops but will need some minor work for a RWC.

The good.
Patina paint (perspective of course!)
All of the really bad rust has been removed and has not re-appeared after 3 years of sitting
New cv joints
New wheel bearings on rear
New flexible brake lines
New rear brake wheel cylinders
New heads ported and match ported to the manifolds
New pistons and cylinders. Pistons balanced
New SVDA advance distributor with electronic ignition module
New headliner
New front and rear boot seals
Rebuilt carbs.
Interior in the rear has Dynamat every where with the stock insulation re-glued over the top.
Engine has complete stock exhaust and working thermostat system
Early z-trim interior
Factory rear venetian blind
Fiber glass copy of factory TLE centre console
Early body style with IRS rear end and disc brake front (car left the factory like this)
New front and rear screen rubber
Working flexible rear pop outs
Trip speedo checked and working
Working clock
All electrics are working
New battery
Road worthy tires

The bad.
Patina paint (perspective of course!)
Carpets are so so
Cracked dash
I have not driven the car on the road yet so can not say for sure if there are details that need tweaking.
Battery tray is not a great repair but should be OK for RWC
Brake discs and drums may need machining for RWC.
Small amount of rust showing on front valance seem.
Front seat vinyl has some splits.
Dent in the front valance/bonnet trim
Rear guards are early guards with bottoms of new guards welded on for rust repair.

Please pm me if you would like to arrange an inspection

Micheal
