Looking for history of this Kelmark in Adelaide

Hi guys,

I've recently picked up a Kelmark GT (or maybe the UK Karma variant) and this car is a bit of a mystery to me. I have no history on the car, no keys even, and no information other than from the Kelmark forum and what I have dug up from Google.

One of the forum members dropped past on the weekend to pickup some parts and suggested I throw some pics up here and see if it rings any bells with anyone. Surely this car was turning heads in the 80's?
From what he saw, it is an early floor plan, probably Type 3 with a standard looking 1600 motor.

The dash is out of a KA Laser (I think) and it has no interior. Compared to the US Kelmarks it has had the rear markers blankedout, different rear bar, Aussie Hella tail lights and the front indicators have been fibreglassed over.

Please let me know if anyone knows the history of this car, or might know someone who does? It is a bit of an enigma in this country, I can only find reference to one other out there in Australia.

Thanks guys, any help or info is much appreciated. (Sorry about the terrible photos, it's not a driver so that's where it's sitting!)

Cheers!
