36 hp engine question

I have a standard 36hp engine in my beetle and ive noticed condensation on the standard inlet manifold just below the carby. The heat risers only get warm to the first bend. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions?

The thing is buggard you may as well swap it out for a 1600 and give me that old clunker.....

I have found a piece of balustrade wire with end all burred out in a drill works a treat... Do this back and forward till it comes out the other end.... Or like I said... Swap it for something bigger and let me look after it :spin:

I've used a wire coathanger with one end hammered flat to drill the soot build up outta the pipe. :)
