[Sold] 61 Pobjoyed Beetle.

Looking to sell my dream beetle to fund possible new project.
My wife says I will regret it and I'm sure I will but don't have the space or cash to have two hobby cars.

This is the ultimate 1916cc street regoed beetle!
1916cc, Alloy case, forged pistons, S&S H beam con-rods, CB Performance 044 Ultra wedge port heads 46 x 37mm stainless valves, Duel ignition, match ported big beaf manifolds, duel 44mm down draught webbers, hex link, Straight cut cam gears, counterweighted crank, custom grind Stan Pobjoy race cam, high rpm cooling fan, hd dog house oil cooler, deep sump, 36hp fan shroud no heaters stainless steel fully merged sidewinder headers matched to stainless tuck away muffler, HD electric fuel pump matched with correct size fuel lines, hd solid mounts . Engine runs approx 12:1 compression. Insane acceleration and super reliable! This is the ultimate Stan Pobjoy built 13 second engine money can buy! (done less than 10 thousand km's since built)

Matched to this engine is an imported Rancho Pro Street gearbox also hd solid mounted with gearbox straps.

Front end has a 4.5" narrowed fully adjustable down under built beam, Dropped spindles, lowered style oil shocks, empi wide five disc brakes, refurbished original fuel tank, empi 15" 5.5" polished gt5 wheels, Front wheels has been slightly machined to add to the narrow look front end look, brand new rear tyres, near new fronts (continentals used on smart cars, skinny low profile fit perfect no rubbing but still nice amount of rubber).

Rear end has fully adjustable spring plates matched to lowered style oil shocks.

All of the above mentioned has less than 10,000kms of highway use.

Shell is a 61 oem paint very straight beetle. Slightly faded in areas but adds to the patina look perfectly (would be sac religious to re spray). Stainless steel classic style roof racks with timber hardwood slats, oem matched patina sun visor, roof liner has been replaced, original ivory steering wheel and shifter, (will come with empi t shifter) but prefer the standard look shifter. Alpine stereo hidden in glove box matched to JVC 6x9's in rear parcel shelf. Gauges include vdo oil temp, oil pressure and fuel level under dash, auto meter monster taco also under dash with shift light, auto meter rev limiter set at 7 under rear seat, cain parcel shelf and steel cup holder basket. Albert swan neck mirrors, flat 4 stone guards, boot jax.

Both front seat covers need replacing due to rip at top of back rests. Will have done in the next week as this is the only job to be done on this car now.

Needs to go to an enthusiast who will look after this or I won't sell. $25K Firm

I can post many more photos to serious lookers.

Nice ride and good luck with the sale.

My bus can do way over 1000 mph in the driveway. Yay for random astrology facts.
