Vintage vw parts suppliers

Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask where you're all getting your parts from.

In the past I've used volks (somewhat a limited range of parts but prompt service)

And vintage vee dub supply (good selection on the website but impossible to get hold of and rubbish service mixed up orders etc)

Any others you'd recommend?

I can't believe your poor service, hard to get hold of and mixed up orders from VVDS

I use thes guys 2-3 times a week and they are definately the best supplier in the country, quality parts with the advice as necessary, call them and explain your past experiences, I know they will make amends.
Sometimes they may be a few dollars more, but IMO well worth it.

My bad guys - I made a mistake, it's classic vee dub I've had issues with.

VVDS are the best to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable and have tried and tested just about every part whether original or reproduction and know every pro and con for each and won't bullshit. There phones may ring off the hook somedays, but thats just a testament to how busy they are helping people. Keep trying and you will get through to them.

I read it on samba, so it must be correct.

Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

Wolfsburg West who are very prompt, good quality parts but their shipping is $$ so needs to be a big order or I use a freight forwarder with other stuff from the States. CIP1 who are cheap when they have their discount codes (which is frequently) but have been hit and miss with quality of parts and the first order they charged my card then withheld my order until I supplied further ID. Used Karmannghia.com and their service was great - they even let me know I ordered the incorrect part for my model year.

For Aussie suppliers I've used and recommend Vintage but will also look into vollks for my next order :) I'd like to support Aussie suppliers more but its hard to find one that has the range and so I've ended up just ordering US since I have to order from them anyway. And so far I've got my orders from the States quicker than I've got my order from the Aussie guys, price wise the USA suppliers have always been cheaper even with shipping partly because there's no GST.
