Drift Beetle, well sort of
Hi
A friend my sons and I has a fabrication shop in Moorebank, he builds some insane cars.
He's been working on a drift Beetle for a while, well its a Beetle on a KE70 Corolla chassis, 1UZ motor etc, should do good skids.

Tell me again why the hell he didn't just build a decent large displacement VW motor and go drifting like wayne in his ghia , oh and save about 3
years of his life reinventing the wheel
Don't let body work get in the way of real suspension travel

Hi
Wayne wasn't drifting he was power sliding but it was cool to watch, different thing altogether, its hard to drift a rear engine car with a big lump
out the back, plus he likes to fabricate things, he's already built a AE86 drift car with a 4 litre Aurion engine for his friend and his other other
car is a real early 1UZ Cressida with compound turbos.
What would Waynes motor and trans combo be worth? $20,000 to $30,000, I think you can buy a lot of grinding wheels and welding wire for that.

Hi
Still not drifting, my sons Skyline at Wakefield Park, its about setting the car up coming into the corner, he usually does about 180kph coming into
the corner from a standing start 1/2 way down the where the pit garages are.

He needs at least another 500HP.
As much as I love the little things, VW's don't cut it.
This isn't Comp Drift either, but it's a shitload closer (plus I just love Supra's too!)
