time to move my baja on?

Apparently the time has come to sell my toys. Time and lifestyle just do not allow for more than one car anymore. So I'm selling or mothballing my Baja.
After 8 years of blood sweat and tears I am faced with 2 options, sell it to someone who is happy to spend the time and money or find someone who is happy to put it in the corner of a shed somewhere (hell, re signwrite it and have it as a promo vehicle in your vw shop) Either way it looks that by the end of the year I may not have the space to keep it.

There are a few limiting factors with selling it, one being because of the laundry list of modifications all done in queensland and most being done before the latest review of the NCOP it can't be registered in another state (unless they finally bring the states into line)
The second is because the baja was modified under the old NCOP and many of the modifications are now outside the scope of the current NCOP I would not risk ever deregistering the car. The government just makes things way too complicated

So what are peoples opinions?

The sale price I would look for would be around the 30K mark.
Anybody have space in there shed for more stuff?
Can anybody fine a use for it while I don't have the space?

Shit dude just seen this thread! Wtf! Just imagine the regret and the therapy if you sell it! A bigger shed is heaps cheaper!

It will all be OK in the end, if it's not OK it's not the end!

No need to sell it.
I'm looking for a run around while I put mine back together, send it up north and I will take care of it.

In all seriousness though, it will be a shame if you have to let it go. I know how much work you have put into it and that you will hate to have to get rid of it. I'm hoping you can find a way to make it work or a great home for it to go to.

Also, if anyone needs proof how tough this thing is

Thanks for pretty much cementing what I already know guys. In all honesty I have no interest in selling it and money has nothing to do with it. We are just throwing ideas around at the moment on how to proceed in the future, unfortunately some of these mean downsizing. The time line is well, there is none really.

I will always keep it regoed and where ever it may end up and if someone ends up minding it they're quite welcome to take it for a burn or to the shows
though it has become my daily of late, just short of 6 weeks now :grind: and I just did 1400km Newcastle-sydney-wagga -Nowra -sydney-Newcastle. Definatly looks like I need to hold onto it for a little while yet !
