Beetle on a pole!
We've had a Big milestone for Volksclub Bendigo and our sponsor Oasis Car spa,
After a long battle with the council, the Beetle is finally on the pole!!
Last night the Mayor of Bendigo, Barry Lyons and the club President, Rhett Nankervis (me) officially unveiled Benders latest landmark, it was the
Mayor that lobbied the other counselors to get the project across the line. A good turn out of local Dubbers and even some from Ballarat came over for
it.....
If your travelling through Bendigo, or here to enjoy many of the activities the club do, be sure to park your dub close and get a pic with the Beetle
on the pole!!

Kinda sad in a way, it was restored then put on a pole? seems it will just decay till it looks like the one on the roof of a carwash here in
Newcastle, looks cool though.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

It was destined for the scrapper before being resto'd. There has been plumbing put in so the bug can be washed regularly
The owner of the car wash has a beautiful '54 bug and 13 window splitty. I don't think decay is an option, haha.

haha true, love to see how long red paint lasts in bendigo.
It gets hot enough there in summer to boil water upon splashing in on a bonnet, bubble the laminate inside windscreens.
yeah its pretty nasty in Summer there.
