Suggestions on fixing an oil leak.

My poor old oval developed an oil leak around May 2012. I haven't had time to fix the poor old girl. I've probably forgotten how to.

It's been sitting for about 3 months since I last drove it and leaked about 50ml into the drip tray. It's never done that before. After a lot of thought, I think it could be the engine.

I'm a bit rusty, so I let my good mate Colin have a look at it. He dragged this thing in the foreground back from the US of A and suggested this might fix the oil leak.

It's a 78mm De Mello (whatever that is).

What's a DPR crank Col? I'm no good with acronyms.

I took your advice Nathan. The car didn't leak a drop in the garage for most of the day. I took it out to Rosehill so the IDAs could scare the horses. There are some nice bends around the back or the race course. God it's a fun car.

I've also got those wedgeport thingamegigs which might help fix the oil leak too.

Regards CT

I explained your problem to Ralph at Pierside with the oil leak, and lack of driving, and he just smiled and gave me that crank.
He said it was a top quality DPR crank. I also wondered what DPR stands for, he smiled again, and said with regards to lack of driving, Doctors Prescribed Remedy :lol::lol::lol::lol:

just take the gladwrap off the crank to fix the oil leak. Problem solved.

Crank can now sit on the garage floor for years until you get sick of smashing your toe into it.
