Holiday Time

What I want to be doing and what I have to do are two different things. So once I get those necessary chores out of the way, I can finally do a bit on the annual volksrod slow progress build.
1. Weld in access panels
2. Fab work on the removable rear apron and weld
3. Fit adjusters to front beam
4. Cut front apron for 8” extender
5. SA to IRS conversion – weld in pivot boxes
I’m in two minds here, if I remove the body from the pan to do the SA to IRS conversion (better access neater job) will it be the turning point where it’s more logical to go and do a full paint and panel and the project being many more years away. Or do I do the IRS conversion in place and get this thing back on the road quicker to enjoy it and plan for a teardown and paint in a few years’ time.
