Adjustable Spring Plates

I have heard the Empi Adjustable Spring Plates have failed before?
Just want some comments, and want to know whether its work going for the empis or get some good quality expensive ones...?
Thanks

I have only ever used the Swayaway adjustable spring plates and never had a problem, so I guess you get what you pay for,

The jerfab plates look pretty swish too. Not adjustable, but get it low.
