64 beetle help

Hi all , my son just bought a 64 beetle for his first car , unfortunately the accelerator pedal was snapped off so we bought a repair kit and new bracket , has anyone got a pic of how it's meant to go ? Also the window washer bottle does not work , it's not one of the pressurised ones , should it be ? Has anyone got a pic of the correct one ?
Thanks Dave

No, pre-'68 Aussie Beetle windscreen washer bottles were not pressurised. The were operated by the wiper switch, which had a rubber bellows. You pulled the switch out a few times and this squirted the water onto the screen.

Check the wiper switch - the bellows are probably old and cracked and no longer sealing.
