Hello Olivia,
Congratulations on getting your first car and having it be a Beetle! I wish to do the same, but I'd like a 1964 Beetle.
May yours be reliable and bring you many years of service.
I think it would be splendid if you posted some pictures of your automobile.

1971 is a good year. We have a 1971 manual 'S' Beetle. It is the same as yours in most ways. Great model, and great to drive. We have to do
maintenance and servicing every 3 months, but that is the joy of an older car. They are stylish, classic, cool, cruise well, and don't become worth
less every year. It works out cheaper to have an older simple car like a Beetle, rather than a brand new complex expensive car. Just remember the air
conditioning is in the quarter vent windows in the front of the doors.
